Board Minutes 7/20/04
The meeting was called to order by Bob Sird at 7:25 P.M.
Water Board Commissioners present were Bob Sird, Chris Hanrahan and Larry
Pomainville. Also present were Bruce Babcock and Helen McKinlay. Minutes The minutes of 6/15/04 were reviewed, discussed and
approved. Orders The orders of 7/20/04 were reviewed,
discussed and approved. Financial Report Pittsford and Florence pre-audit June
30, 2004 reports were reviewed and discussed.
Detail reports of contracts and legal expenses were reviewed. Reports of recent repairs B. Babcock showed the Water Board pieces
of damaged pipe removed during the recent repair of the water leak at the
Clarence Greeno residence. The pipe
was severely deteriorated. This
line was not replaced as was recommended but repaired to stop the leak.
A piece of the Elm Street water line recently repaired was brought in for
review. The Elm Street water line
is approximately 125 years old and in remarkably good condition showing no build
up of residue or corrosion. Florence Pump Inspection Layne Christiansen Company performed the
annual well and pump maintenance inspection.
Based on the results no additional service work, other than possible
calibration of the flow meter is required at this time.
No problems were found with any of the controls or alarms. EXECUTIVE SESSION In accordance with 1VSA 312(b) where premature general
public knowledge would clearly place the Municipality or person involved at a
substantial disadvantage, the Board unanimously agreed to go into executive
session for Legal/Contracts at 7:40 P.M. B.
Babcock and H. McKinlay were invited to stay. The Water Board came out of
executive session at 8:20 P.M. 2004 Work Project Update Status of work projects were discussed:
Video of Water Tank Inspections A video of the water tank inspections
performed by M&K was reviewed by the Water Board. With no further business, the meeting adjourned at 8:50 P.M. Respectfully submitted:
