discussed and approved. W. Smith, S. Smith, J. Monroe and D.
Hughes requested an update regarding the Chittenden residents on the Town water
system request of 4/20/04 for an extension to the November 15, 2004 water shut
off notices. J. Monroe requested
details regarding T. Nesbitt request made on behalf of the Water Board to ANR
for an extension both in writing and through follow up conversations with Jay
Rutherford. A copy of T.
Nesbitt’s letter will be forwarded to J. Monroe.
H. McKinlay has been in phone contact with T. Raymond regarding the
status of the Pittsford Operating Permit. T.
Raymond assures the permit was being written over the past few weeks and would
be finalized for Jay Rutherford’s signature upon his return to the office.
The Operating Permit receipt is expected this week.
Residents will be notified of the anticipated extension date as soon as
the Town receives the permit. Letters
will be sent to all Chittenden water users immediately upon receipt of the
permit. Concerns regarding
necessary work associated with the water shut offs was discussed.
Future line maintenance across Chittenden properties was discussed.
Residents would appreciate notification prior to any work being done as a
courtesy. Copies of the May 4, 2004
Water Board minutes were requested on behalf of all Chittenden water users.
The May 4th minutes were approved this evening and will be
sent out. W. Smith discussed with the Water Board
problems associated with the 1 inch water line at the intersection of Furnace
and Hitchcock Roads since the reconstruction of the corner.
This section of water line freezes every year.
Water must be left running to avoid freezing.
B. Sird anticipates any upgrade of this line will be scheduled at the
time of the major upgrade project with Route 7. Mitchell T’s Application The status of the Mitchell T’s water
permit application was discussed. The
1” line from the curb stop to the existing building must be replaced with a 1
½ “ copper line per the Act 250 permit. The application will be approved per this condition after
signed by the Water Superintendent. Dufresne – Henry Contract B. Sird updated L. Pomainville regarding
the May 14th meeting with T. Nesbitt regarding the Water System
Evaluation and related maps of the water system.
T. Nesbitt has redone much of the unsatisfactory work previously started
by K. Tanner. Evaluation and mapping corrections will be performed by T.
Nesbitt at no additional charge to the Water Department.
Four Seasons Project Upgrade P. Kulig is having difficulty contacting
Thelma Rosoff regarding the required right of way for the
project to proceed as planned. Due
to State requirements our permit application will not be processed without
engineering documentation. T.
Nesbitt anticipates application with drawings and required specifications for
this project will cost up to $2500 to complete.
The cost may be reduced due to copies of the survey information supplied
along with work previously done by C. Hanrahan.
With no further business, the meeting
adjourned at 8:25 P.M. Respectfully submitted:
