Allen Hitchcock opened the meeting at 7:06 PM. Water Board members present were: Allen Hitchcock, Joseph Gagnon, David Markowski, and Thomas Hooker. Thomas “Hank” Pelkey was absent. Also present were Michael Balch, Linda Drummond, Tom Carrara, Wayne Rowe, John & Sally Eugair, and Alan Roberge. MINUTES The minutes of September 20, 2006 were approved. OLD BUSINESS A Hitchcock inquired about the number of applicants the Board has received so far for the water & sewer commissioner vacancies. M. Balch replied that one letter of interest has been received to date. A. Hitchcock asked D. Markowski to recruit applicants from the Florence water area. A. Hitchcock asked how many new water meters have installed. None have been installed. NEW BUSINESS D. Markowski made a request on behalf of the Pittsford Snowmobile Club, the Snomads, to use trails that go beyond Sand Springs up through the Baird property, that the past Water Board gave them permission to use the trails for snowmobiles. There were conditions that the trails were to be so many feet away from the springs and the trails are staked off. D. Markowski is asking for consideration and permission from the current Water Board for the club to use the previously approved trails by the past Water Board for snowmobiles this winter. T. Hooker made a motion to give permission to the snowmobile club to use the marked snowmobile trails. J. Gagnon seconded the motion. David Markowski recused himself from the vote. The vote passed unanimously.
