Sewer Board Minutes

October 5, 2005

Thomas “Hank” Pelkey opened the meeting at 6:46 p.m.  Sewer Board members present were:  Thomas “Hank” Pelkey, Joseph Gagnon, Allen Hitchcock, and Dave Markowski.  Larry Pomainville was absent.  Also present were Aria Brissette, Michael Balch, Roy Newton, Helen McKinlay, John Eugair, Shawn Erickson, and Randy Adams. 

MINUTES

The Sewer Board minutes of September 21, 2005 were reviewed, discussed and approved. 

Consider FY 2006 Sewer Department Work Plan

The Sewer Board reviewed and discussed the FY2006 Sewer Department Work Plan.  The Sewer Board approved the plan as presented.

Abutters Interest in Proposed Furnace Road Sewer Line Extension

M. Balch reported the Town had received an amazing amount of interest from residents of Furnace Road and Randall Park in response to the VT State Police Academy proposed sewer line extension.  It would be less expensive for residents to hook onto the sewer line at the time of the extension upgrade.  A contract is still in force with the State of VT to run the sewer line extension.  The sewer line extension along Furnace Road will be at no expense to the Town. The State has been reviewing possible alternatives and options to the sewer line agreement.  P. Flory has been made aware of the interest of residents to hook onto the system and will be notifying the State the Town is expecting them to live up to their existing agreement.

With no further business, the meeting adjourned at 6:56 p.m.
