OLD BUSINESS
Ice Rink Ideas for the Select Board At the April 5, 2006 Select Board meeting a discussion was held about using the Recreation Area in the winter, such as a dual purpose basketball court/ice rink. R. Adams requested & received the Board’s support to look in to creating a permanent area for winter activities such as at the Recreation Area. It was the Select Board’s consensus to have R. Adams investigate the opportunities and options for winter activities to be held at the Recreation Area.
Update Roof Bid R. Adams informed the Committee that the Re-Shingling of the Bath House Bid Packets had been sent out and were scheduled to be returned April 12, 2006. R. Adams indicated as per policy he mailed the packets to three (3) qualified contractors (all of which were from Pittsford).
NEW BUSINESS
Swim Area Supervisor Vacancy The Committee was informed that Colin Spensley, last summer’s Lifeguard Supervisor, will not be returning from Boston to work at the Recreation Area. R. Adams stated that he has already begun the quest of replacing C. Spensley a task that won’t be easy.
Coaches & Umpires Needed R. Adams mentioned to the Recreation Committee that there were still spring and summer coaching positions to fill. The same was said for umpires. R. Adams was looking for assistance in filling those vacancies.
